The Play That Goes Wrong is a massive success. A huge hit with the critics, it’s won multiple awards, including an Olivier for best new comedy in 2015. The only way to see what the fuss is about is to see it yourself (more than 700,000 people have already done so)!
Without giving too much away, the play revolves around the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society, who are staging a 1920s murder mystery, but as you might have guessed, just about anything that can go wrong, does go wrong.
Older kids (we reckon 11+) will love the unpredictable silliness and slapstick humour and teenagers will love the word play and its murder mystery element. As for parents, if any of you’ve ever been involved in amateur dramatics, this may just strike chord with you.
